request for chromebook

Fill out the request fo Chromebook form and send it into me roconn@newlothrop.k12.mi.us to process and I get it processed and contact you with a pickup time. Can't print or edit the form? Answer the questions on the form and email me what those answers are and we will fill out the form for you.

The chromebook request form is posted in the forms section, if needed please fill this out and return to me.

Power school will be down this weekend June 2nd and 3rd. for updates. 

If you get an email that states "Upgrade your mailbox" We have noticed some unusual activity in your webmail email account, verify your account by clicking the link below. Delete this email. It's not good!

Teachers, just a reminder that we will be going through all the carts over the summer, that is chromebook carts and iPad carts. All devices should be left in the carts so we can work on them. Those devices are not to leave the district. Contact me with any questions.

Just a reminder that we will be installing a new image on your computer over the summer, which means to back your files up to your home directory. If you need help please contact me.
This new image will help with a few issues.

A big ransomeware threat started friday afternoon and again I'll remind you to watch email attachments and links, watch websites that you are on.
Make sure your computer is updating. 
What is ransomeware? It gets on your computer or device and encrypts your files so you can not access them. If you want to access your files you have to pay to get them un-encrypted. 
Again watch those attachments and links in your email.

PowerSchool will have intermittent downtime (sometimes lasting up to 2 hours) from Friday, March 24^th through Sunday, March 26^th.

Microsoft has issued a new update for Windows 10 that fixes some of the issues with the anniversary update or 1607 update.

Apple has posted a new update to it's operating system for iPads and the iPhone. There are some major differences in it and opening your device just got a little different. No more swiping to open. The lastest version is IOS 10.0.2 and it does take some time to update your device so make sure you have the time to do it without it being interrupted.
