Kim Kuchar has been involved in education for 25 years all of those years at New Lothrop Area Public Schools.  She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan.  She later pursued further studies in educational leadership at the University of Michigan and received her Masters Degree in Public Administration.

Ms. Kuchar taught elementary (grades 5/6) for 11 years and Jr. High English for 14 years.  She has taken on many leadership roles during her tenure at New Lothop.  She served as School Improvement Chairperson for 20+ years, mentored student teachers, coordinated professional development for teaching staff, and facilitated curriculum alignment to Common Core Standards.

Ms. Kuchar believes that all children can learn, but each learns in a different way and at different rates.  She believes that with hard work and perseverance we can make an impact on each student in a special way.  Keeping the atmosphere positive is the key to success as well as keeping the lines of communicaiton open among staff, students, and parents.  Ms. Kuchar feels that teamwork is the ultimate way a school can be successful in reaching the goal of helping a student attain his or her full potential. 

On a personal note, Ms. "K" loves reading.  Students have access to her own personal library in her office and may browse and check out books at any time.  Futhermore, Ms. Kuchar is an avid camper, boater and traveler.  She has three children, four grandsons, and hundreds of students who make up her immediate family.  Ms. Kuchar is a proud Hornet! #HornetProud
